Lucky Ortiz

Lucky Ortiz is a storyteller who brings Native American teaching tales to life in combination with traditional flute and drum to inspire and teach water conservation, land stewardship and respect for nature’s ways to children and the child in all of us.

David (Lucky) Ortiz is an Army Veteran and Homeless Activist/Advocate who takes his passion to the airwaves for a new show at KOWSfm.com entitled “Street Muse”. His show provides insight into the Bay Area’s growing street communities through inspirational interviews and musical expression. Mr. Ortiz is also a storyteller who brings Native American teaching tales to life in combination with traditional flute and drum playing to inspire and teach water conservation, land stewardship and respect for nature’s ways to children, community groups, businesses and schools. David is from the Blackfeet Tribe and also has Mestizo roots. He went to Standing Rock in 2016 as part of the Veterans group to defend the water of The People.
